TOPIC CATEGORIES

This page so far is simply an initial and obviously limited brainstorm of categories or topics about which people might wish to add items. Please feel free to add categories, rearrange them or suggest a different structure for the page.

Quick Tips for adding your material here:

  • Click on any topic. (If the one you are interested in has a question mark after it, the page has not yet been created. First click on the question mark to create the page, then click Save at the bottom of that new page.) Once you are on the new page, you can add your items to it. You can do this by clicking Edit above and then writing or pasting material directly onto the page or by creating a new, separate page related to this topic (see the difference between Operating By Consensus: JWM and The Church listings below). If you are creating a new page, click on "Create New Topic" on the left sidebar. See the Step By Step on the sidebar for more help if you need it. Always remember to save your work when you are finished--otherwise, it will disappear!

  • If the material you wish to add doesn't fall under one of the existing topics, you can add a new one. To do this, you simply edit this page. Click Edit above, then scroll to the category in which you wish to add your topic, or create a new one. Note the double bracket format for the existing topics. It's probably easiest to simply copy an existing topic's format and paste it in where you want it. Then change the text within the two sets of brackets to fit your new topic. In the first set of brackets, create a Wiki Word for the topic; in the second, write the name of the topic as you want it to show up on this page. You can preview your work (bottom of page), then save it. This will return you to this SubjectsIndex page, where you will see your new topic show up. If it's not quite right, go back into Edit mode and tweak it. When you are satisfied with the new topic name in the list and have saved this page, click on the new topic's question mark to actually create its page, and follow the steps in the first paragraph above.
