The Consensus Process Within the Order

One of the long running discussions within our community has been around what we really meant by "consensus" and the degree to which we operated out of it. It's helpful to hear JWM articulate, in his own distinctive voice, the Order's consensus making process. I recorded this, as best I can tell, somewhere in the 1966-1969 time period. It is from a talk Joe gave called "The Internal Life of the Church." It was clearly part of a series that also included Slicker's talk (BugModel), but I can't tell from my tape what the event or program was.

I've added one of my favorite shots of Joe, even though it is of him several years later than the recording.
