We opened the Junaluska Gathering on Friday afternoon, November 30th, with twenty-five of us in attendance. This number would swell to around thirty-five by the next day, and still others would participate via Skype from around the world.

This is a simple panning around the group as Jack Gilles begins his opening remarks. Starting with Jack, you will see George Walters, Jim Wiegel videotaping, Bill Grow, Judy Gilles, Nan Grow, Marianna and Bill Bailey, Marie Sharp, Byrne and Carole Johnson, Len Hockley, David Rebstock, Susan Craver, a brief glimpse of our host, Marshall Jones, bustling about in the background, Eleanor Kibrick, George Packard, John Cock, David Dunn, Walt Kargus, Jean Long and Margaret and David Scott. The two in attendance at the opening that you won't see are Lynda Cock (concealed behind Margaret Scott) and me, behind the videocam.
