Delegates in Session

It had not been easy getting the Taiwan delegation permission to participate in this event. India had not wished for any trouble with its neighbor, China, and the government withheld visas for our group until the very last moment. It was the appeal we got the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI), headquartered in Taipei, to make to its member Chamber in India, and that group's intervention with the Indian government, that finally made it happen.

In this photo, in addition to members of the Taiwan delegation, including Bill Wang (subsequently an ICAI Board member), you can see, among others you'll recognize, Sir James Lindsay at the end of the row in which Joe Slicker is also visible, hiding behind that microphone stand.
