In addition to interchange afforded by the OE Community listserv (see below) a rhythm of informal gatherings has emerged. The most recent of a series of gatherings going back to 2000, these Springboard Gatherings have involved an informal and fluid group of colleagues who have met to learn about one anothers work, explore connections and synergies, and to consider the nature and future of our global network. The first meeting was held in Denver, Colorado the weekend of March 30, 31 and April 1, 2007. 25 people with a history and/or interest in the Order Ecumenical attended in person and 40+ others were paying attention online. Springboard II was held July 1618 at Abbey North in Haliburton, Ontario. Springboard III was just held at the Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center in North Carolina. 40 colleagues attended.
You can read reports from these three meetings elsewhere in the Repository, at

Listservs
- The Earthrise Listserv An experiment in virtual community. Its aim is to provide regular rehearsals of the wonder and depth of Spirit through brief reflections written by members and delivered by e-mail. While many earthrise members have a history with the Ecumenical Institute and the Institue of Cultural Affairs, there is interest to expand the community beyond those boundaries. If you would like to join, or you are a member and would like to invite others to join, contact the moderator, Terry Bergdall at bergdall@rcn.com.
